If you are an individual sender or recipient, you need to fill in the TRNC proforma invoice document issued by our branch on behalf of the sender and recipient when delivering your cargo to our branch.

If you are a commercial company sending a non-commercial, sample cargo; you need to fill in the TRNC proforma invoice document issued by our branch on behalf of the sender and recipient when delivering your cargo to our branch, or send an email to kktcgumrukoperasyon@sube.araskargo.com.tr stating that it is a customs document along with the cargo number. Important points when preparing a proforma invoice:
a- Your shipment must not exceed 600 kg per single proforma invoice. For shipments exceeding 600 kg, an additional proforma invoice must be issued, and an additional waybill must be prepared by our departure branch.
b- The total product value on a single proforma invoice must not exceed 30,000 Euros.
c- Restricted items, products subject to special permission or inspection (chemical products, food, medicine, cold chain pharmaceuticals, etc.) are excluded from the scope of shipment.
d- It is mandatory to provide the GTIP/HS code for sample shipments.

If you are a commercial company sending a commercial cargo under micro-export; it is sufficient to issue an exemption (export) invoice for the product and deliver it to our branch at the time of shipment. E-invoice and e-archive invoice users must print the e-archive invoice for the product for TRNC shipments (customs declarations can only be made with an e-archive invoice; even if you are an e-invoice taxpayer, you must prepare the invoice as an e-archive invoice), stamp and sign it, and deliver it to our branch along with the cargo. The most important rule to know when sending products to the TRNC within the scope of e-commerce; all shipments reaching the TRNC are checked for invoices and what they contain, and the customs office decides whether the shipment should be subject to customs formalities. If your parcels, whose recipient is an individual customer, are subject to customs formalities at TRNC customs, as Aras Kargo, we can finalize the customs procedures and deliver your shipments to the recipient’s address after the recipient of your parcel authorizes Aras Kargo from this link and pays the taxes that may arise.

Although it is always noted that handling formalities at the customs may extend delivery times, TRNC shipments are delivered within 3-4 working days, and for locations with a distance of 600 km or more, deliveries are made within 4-5 working days.

*For TRNC - Türkiye - TRNC shipments, it may be necessary to pay the tax or obtain legal permissions for the parcel at the customs at arrival, as the parcel is subject to foreign import-export procedures. In such a case, the buyer or the buyer's authorized customs broker at the Nicosia Customs Office must give their consent to the completion of the customs clearance and customs formalities at the Turkish Customs Office for an additional fee.

1. Products prohibited from entering the TRNC (products that will be destroyed at customs without being delivered to the buyer when they arrive at TRNC customs);

• All types of products manufactured for a sexual purpose
• All kinds of dietary supplements
• Performance enhancing drugs
• Tobacco for personal use, hookah tobacco
• Potted/containerized saplings/seedlings
• Pepper powder etc. for personal use
• Cold chain shipping

2. Products of TRNC Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Medicines Agency and Pharmacy Board (products that can be collected upon customs clearance)

• All kinds of chemical substances
• Medicines that are not prohibited by law; medicines sent to students and individuals by their families and acquaintances, which do not have commercial value, are subject to the permission of the customs supervisor. Parcel will be subject to customs clearance. The customer goes to customs and follows the guidance of the customs supervisor. Authorization from the TRNC Ministry of Health may be requested.
• Guns: Military personnel's service weapons and hunting rifles with hunting license and prior permission
• Cigarettes and alcoholic beverages
• Food packaging materials and wet wipes; products with no commercial value and those sent to students and persons by their families and acquaintances are allowed to enter.
• Cleaning products; products with no commercial value and those sent to students and individuals by their families and acquaintances are allowed to enter.
• Trees, seedlings/saplings, seeds
• Electrical products; products with no commercial value and those sent to students and persons by their families and acquaintances are allowed to enter if they have a low financial value.
• Devices with electronic ID number; mobile phones and all devices that work with SIM cards are prohibited from entering the TRNC without being registered in the Mobile Device Registration System. Rules and formalities for this type of shipment:
• Get the delivery order receipt from our branch and go to the customs directorate.
• IMEI certificate is issued and received from the customs directorate.
• The registration process is carried out at Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTHK) and the registration fee is paid.
• By making another visit to the customs directorate, the customs tax, if any, will be paid and the parcel will be released from the customs.
• Whether the recipient is student or military officer will not change how this process works.

The contents and customs declarations of all parcels sent to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are checked by customs officers at Nicosia, which is the final point of arrival. If the sender is a business enterprise and the recipient is also a business enterprise, a door-to-door delivery service will not be provided for the parcels that are subject to customs clearance. If the sender is a business enterprise or a real and the recipient is a real person, we, as Aras Kargo, can complete the customs procedures and deliver your parcels to the recipient's address after the recipient of your parcel authorizes our company from the link and pays the taxes that may arise.

If the parcel clears customs controls, it will be delivered within working hours the next day to the branches operating in standard service areas and within working hours on the day of delivery to mobile branches.

In order for a parcel that is stuck in customs to be returned to the sender, the recipient of the parcel must obtain a certificate of return to the country of origin from the TRNC Trade Office and deliver it to our Cyprus Branch. The recipient must also authorize our company by providing all the information and documents requested by our Cyprus Branch.

The entry and return of such products to the TRNC falls within the scope of temporary export/import. Once the following procedures have been completed, it will be possible to do this.

• The sender customer is required to issue a provisional invoice on behalf of the recipient in Cyprus and send it to the recipient customer by fax and/or other means of communication.
• Temporary importation is requested from the TRNC General Directorate of Customs by attaching a petition to the invoice issued to the purchasing customer. Upon the authorization of the General Directorate of Customs, the products will be handed over to the shipping company.
• The sender customer must send the invoice and/or pro forma invoice to kktcgumrukoperasyon@sube.araskargo.com.tr prior to shipping. The invoice must state that the products are in the status of goods to be returned for use at a trade show or similar activity.
• The parcel will be sent to Cyprus. Upon prior authorization granted by Nicosia Customs, parcels will be cleared from customs with Form C-104
• After use, our branch must be informed that the relevant parcels will be sent to abroad from TRNC. Our branch will issue Aras Kargo invoice and delivery receipt. The necessary declarations at the Nicosia export customs will be made by the sender company. The vehicle is sealed by the customs officers and loaded onto the ship from Kyrenia Customs.
