Senior Appointment at Aras Kargo: New Name for the Position of Vice President of Information Technologies

Aras Kargo has appointed Kürşat Alp Yiğit as Vice President of Information Technologies to strengthen its technological structure and accelerate its digital transformation journey. Yiğit will lead the company's infrastructure management, information security, and innovation processes.

Türkiye's leading and innovative cargo company, Aras Kargo, has implemented a strategic appointment in line with its goal of strengthening its technology structure by appointing Kürşat Alp Yiğit as Vice President of Information Technologies. Yiğit will be responsible for developing Aras Kargo's technology strategy, strengthening infrastructure management, implementing information security policies, and accelerating innovation-oriented efforts. With this appointment, it is aimed to accelerate Aras Kargo’s digital transformation roadmap, support data and AI-based business models, and reposition the technology organization in line with an agile, efficient, and sustainable structure.

Sharing his views on his new role, Aras Kargo Vice President of Information Technologies Kürşat Alp Yiğit made the following statement: “It is an exciting responsibility for me to develop Aras Kargo's strong operational experience with a focus on technology, together with our competent team that has an agile working culture. About Kürşat Alp Yiğit

A graduate of Yıldız Technical University, Department of Computer Engineering, Kürşat Alp Yiğit began his career in the fields of software development and data management. After undertaking various responsibilities in software development, data management, business intelligence, and application development processes at İş Yatırım and Abdi İbrahim, Yiğit later served as IT Manager at Vialand, where he was responsible for infrastructure, applications, security, and operations management. At Yıldız Holding and Pladis Global, Yiğit led global-scale digital transformation, project management, data management, IT governance processes, and innovation-oriented programs. He also held roles in functions such as technology governance, risk, budget, project, and quality process management. After managing technology governance, risk, budget, project, and quality processes at Arçelik Global, he served as CTO and Executive Board Member at Penti, leading the company's end-to-end digital transformation and the shaping of its technology strategy.
