With the "Red Heroes Field Meeting," Aras Kargo brought
its administrative staff and management together with field teams during the
busy campaign period. This large-scale experience, involving over 1,000
employees, became the strongest field reflection of the company's
growth-oriented corporate culture and team spirit.
Aras Kargo, one of Turkey’s leading and
most innovative courier companies, launched the "Red Heroes Field
Meeting" to unite its administrative staff and senior management with
field teams during the high-intensity operational campaign season. Led by the Human
and Culture unit, this comprehensive field experience was conducted
simultaneously across branches and transfer centers throughout Turkey.
In this industry-first large-scale
initiative, more than 1,000 administrative employees took to the field
to actively support distribution and transfer processes alongside operational
teams. Aimed at contributing to the increased transaction volume during the
peak campaign period, this meeting served as a significant step in a cultural
transformation that brings Aras Kargo’s growth-oriented corporate culture
and strong team spirit to the forefront. Senior management, including Peter
Umundum (Chairman of the Board of Aras Kargo and Member of the Management Board
of Austrian Post), Barbara Hagen (CEO of Aras Kargo), and Utku Ayyarkın (COO of
Aras Kargo), were present on-site to provide hands-on support for transfer
center and branch operations.
A
Growth-Oriented Cultural Transformation Experience
The "Red Heroes Field Meeting"
stood out as a tangible reflection of Aras Kargo’s Human and Culture approach
in the field. Allowing administrative teams to experience operations first-hand
strengthened empathy, mutual understanding, and solidarity between departments
while reinforcing a sense of common goals across the company. This large-scale
organization was implemented as a key part of a corporate culture
transformation focused on "center-field integration" and
learning through development.
Digital
Training with "Akademi GO" Before Heading to the Field
Prior to the event, a comprehensive
preparation process was conducted to ensure the field application was safe and
efficient. Participating administrative staff and managers received training on
workflow, operational processes, OHS (Occupational Health and Safety)
instructions, and safety regulations. All training materials were uploaded to Aras
Akademi GO, the digital learning platform managed by the Training and
Development Unit under the Human and Culture Department. This allowed employees
to access training content anytime and anywhere before going into the field.
Akademi GO served as a cornerstone of Aras Kargo’s approach to placing learning
at the heart of corporate culture, contributing to increased knowledge and
awareness before the field experience.
First Stops:
Hadımköy and İkitelli Transfer Centers
The first field applications took place at
the Hadımköy and İkitelli Transfer Centers. Managers and administrative staff
who observed the transfer processes on-site assisted in unloading vehicles,
loading the "loop sorter," and using pallet jacks to experience
operational flows step-by-step. Employees who went out for distribution with
branch teams had the opportunity to observe the end-to-end customer experience
by making doorstep deliveries.
“We are
Building the Future of Sustainable Logistics Together”
Barbara Hagen, CEO of Aras Kargo, stated regarding the field meeting: "The Red
Heroes Field Meeting allowed us to closely experience the dedication and
professionalism of our teams, which form the strength of Aras Kargo. During our
time in the field, we witnessed the effort our colleagues put in to provide the
best service to our customers. This experience will significantly contribute to
developing our operations in line with the real needs and insights of our
employees as we shape the future of sustainable logistics. As the Aras Kargo
family, we are proud to move forward together toward the same goal."
Yiğitcan Bozoğlu, Vice President of Human
& Culture and Law at Aras Kargo, shared his
views: "Employee engagement and motivation are among our highest
priorities. The Red Heroes Field Meeting enabled our administrative staff to
get to know our field teams better, share field experiences, and strengthen
team spirit. This event was a valuable opportunity for us to observe the importance
of field operations and strengthen the sense of belonging. We see our teams
acting together and supporting one another as the most valuable element
reflecting Aras Kargo’s corporate culture and spirit of solidarity."
