New Restructuring in Operational Excellence from Aras Kargo

In line with the LEAD 2030 strategy of its parent company, Austrian Post, Aras Kargo has established the "Vice Presidency of Operational Excellence" to strengthen its operational excellence and efficiency efforts. By appointing Sevilay Güven, a seasoned name in the industry, to this role, the company has launched a new growth strategy centered on process optimization, performance management, and operational efficiency.

Aras Kargo has added a new area of responsibility to its organizational structure to reinforce operational processes and manage efficiency efforts more effectively. Within this scope, the company created the "Vice Presidency of Operational Excellence" position and appointed industry veteran Sevilay Güven to the post. Güven will manage the activities and reports of the Transfer Operations Project Directorate, Operational Excellence Management, Optimization Management, and Operational Planning and Performance Management units.

With this new restructuring, projects focused on the measurement, analysis, and improvement of operational processes will be carried out independently of the daily operational flow. This will allow for a more holistic structure in process excellence, efficiency increase, and performance management. Through technology projects developed in this context, Aras Kargo aims to go beyond today’s operational needs to design future business models and lead the sector. This holistic approach aims to strengthen coordination between operations and process development teams, thereby improving the customer experience at all stages.

Evaluating her new role, Aras Kargo Vice President of Operational Excellence Sevilay Güven stated that this duty is a part of Aras Kargo’s vision for continuous development and sustainable growth, saying:

Sevilay Güven earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer and Control Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), followed by a PhD candidacy in Computer Methods in Industrial Systems at Universit  de Paris 5 Ren Descartes.

She began her career in IT and process management-oriented projects, working at Oyak Renault and Dynargie Management Development before serving as CIO at Schenker Arkas Logistics for many years. Subsequently, she founded her own company, providing consultancy to multinational corporations and SMEs on operational excellence, process design, and strategic restructuring. Between 2020 and 2025, she served as the Secretary General of YASAD (Software Industrialists Association), leading national software industry development and digital transformation projects.

Güven, who is fluent in English and French, specializes in operational excellence, process optimization, ERP applications, IT management, and organizational development.
