A sapling organization from Aras Kargo

In a cooperation with the Aegean Forest Foundation, Aras Kargo donated 16,000 saplings for each of its 16,000 employees. The in-house Doğa Dostu Araslar (Eco-Friendly Aras Team) platform has so far planted more than 140,000 saplings at various locations in Turkey.

Aras Kargo, the pioneer and innovating courier company of Turkey, participated in a new sapling donation campaign to help minimize environmental risks. Thanks to the Doğa Dostu Araslar platform, which was created in-house to minimize the carbon footprint resulting from business operations, Aras Kargo helped plant 140,000 saplings as an extension of the company’s continued environmental awareness. In a cooperation with the Aegean Forest Foundation, Aras Kargo donated 16,000 saplings for each of its 16,000 employees. The saplings will be planted in the areas determined in the Kuşadası county of Aydın, and the plantation area will be named Doğa Dostu Araslar Ormanı (The Forest of Eco-Friendly Aras Team).

4 METRIC TONS OF WASTE PREVENTED FROM POLLUTING THE ENVIRONMENT WITH COASTAL CLEANUP

The Doğa Dostu Araslar platform, an in-house platform founded in recent years in order to help minimize the company’s carbon footprint, has been running highly effective projects. The platform has so far planted more than 140,000 saplings at various locations in Turkey. In addition, in its collaborated works with TURMEPA DenizTemiz Foundation, the platform prevented four metric tones of waste from polluting the environment in the last four years as part of the coastal cleanup movement. The Doğa Dostu Araslar Coastal Cleanup project was granted the International Social Responsibility Excellence Award at the International CSR Excellence Awards organized in the United Kingdom. The project was also qualified for an award in the corporate social responsibility category at the prestigious International Stevie Awards. Having established the largest fleet of fully electric vehicles in Turkey in 2011 as part of this formation, Aras Kargo also maintains environmentally friendly practices such as compliance with the zero waste regulation, systematic collection of natural resource consumption data, in-house measurement of vehicle exhaust emissions, and reduction of paper consumption amounts and the number of packaging materials used.
