Aras Kargo Sports Club hosted AFAD employees on the anniversary of February 6th.

Aras Kargo Sports Club brought sports and solidarity together during the volleyball match played against Eczacıbaşı Dynavit in Izmir on Saturday, February 7th. In the match held immediately after the anniversary of the February 6th earthquakes, a meaningful meeting was held by hosting Izmir AFAD employees in the stands.

 

Aras Kargo Sports Club, which believes in the unifying power of sports, continues to strengthen its struggle on the field with social solidarity. Aras Kargo Sports Club, which has carried out works drawing attention to social awareness in different fields to date, hosted Izmir AFAD employees at the match played with Eczacıbaşı Dynavit in Izmir on Saturday, February 7th, due to the anniversary of the February 6th earthquakes. The employees, who serve with devotion and self-sacrifice during difficult disaster periods, shared the excitement of volleyball by following the match from the stands. Before the match, Aras Kargo Deputy Chairman of the Board Baran Aras thanked the AFAD representatives for their efforts and devotion during these difficult processes and presented a plaque of appreciation to AFAD Izmir Provincial Director Nazif Ekinci in memory of the day.

Aras Kargo Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience and Aras Kargo Sports Club Board Member Billur Kaymak Burkutoğlu said the following on the subject: "As Aras Kargo Sports Club, we do not only put up a sporting struggle in every match we play; at the same time, we attach importance to keeping social responsibility, common memory and the sense of unity and togetherness alive. While we commemorate the lives we lost after the February 6th earthquakes with respect and mercy, we believe that it is very valuable to keep the spirit of solidarity that emerged in those difficult days alive today. We are very happy to host Izmir AFAD employees on this meaningful day because we believe that sports find their true meaning with its healing and unifying power. As Aras Kargo Sports Club, we will continue to carry this culture of solidarity from the fields to life."

Speaking on behalf of AFAD employees as the guest of honor of the match, AFAD Izmir Provincial Director Nazif Ekinci said, "Being remembered on such a meaningful day and being included in the enthusiasm of volleyball has been a source of morale for us.
