Another award for Aras Academy’s “First Step Schools” with simulation branches
First Step Schools which Aras Kargo put into practice within Aras Academy in order to train new employees, was named the “Best Orientation Program for Newcomers” in scope of the TEGEP Learning and Development Awards organized by Learning and Development Platform Association of Turkey (TEGEP)
“First Step Schools” which Aras Kargo put into practice three years ago within Aras Academy in order to support newcomers’ personal and career developments, was named the “Best Orientation Program for Newcomers” in scope of the TEGEP Learning and Development Awards which first organized 3 years ago Eda Şahin Çelikel, Aras Kargo Training Manager received the award on behalf of Aras Kargo.
We trained more than 3 thousand Aras in 3 years
They broke new ground in the industry by establishing Aras Academy 7 years ago. As Aras Kargo, we know that our employees are the real drivers in our company’s success and customer satisfaction. It is very important for us that every new employee who joins our company is able to implement our corporate culture correctly and is channeled into the work to be done accurately. We established our First Step Schools within Aras Academy three years ago in order to make the initial orientation processes more effective, and we provided over 147,500 hours of training to more than 3,000 Aras up to now. We are proud that our First Step Schools where we give practical trainings in simulation branches, was awarded “Best Orientation Program for Newcomers” prize in scope of the TEGEP Learning and Development Awards which gave us strength on our course.
How does training process work in Aras Academy First Step Schools?
New employees of Aras Kargo get to know the company first, become aware of the professional business life, learn the details of Aras Kargo services and the sales techniques for customer needs within the scope of one week orientation training given in Aras Academy First Step Schools. 20-25 people in average are trained in each school. During the orientation, employees are also trained in occupational health and safety topics along with technical information.
Employees who are enrolled in orientation program in Aras First Step Schools complete their orientation program as a cargo professional with “Experience Sharing” videos in which department managers in the headquarter, couriers and representatives share the expectations from them. Experts and experienced couriers, representatives and managers share their experiences, before starting to work in the branches.
At the moment Aras Kargo First Step Schools are located in 4 big cities; Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir and Bursa. New schools are planned to be added.
